About Us

You don’t need to be an experienced chef to enjoy black winter truffle

Tricia and Rainer purchased their 100-acre farm nestled on the banks of the Shoalhaven River in 2004 as a weekend escape from the city for the family.  Rainer a builder and Tricia a National Operations Manager, soon fell in love with the rural lifestyle and it only took about 4 years to turn it into their family home.

We have an open fun approach to life and the beauty of our property but we love to share our knowledge about the truffles. L’Air du Wombat Truffle farm was established in 2007 and we invite you to enjoy our truffiere via one of our hunts or for the weekend in our self-contained accommodation for those who want to discover something new.  Relax, take a deep breath and enjoy the getaway from the everyday grind of life. Our truffle farm NSW is located in the tiny town of Oallen on the banks of the Shoalhaven River, 2.5 hours from Sydney, 1 hour from Goulburn, Nowra or Braidwood and 1.5 hours from Canberra.  Phone reception is scattered so please allow sufficient time to enjoy our rural roads.
